Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity Across Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while residents in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered interruptions to water supplies, per reports from city officials.

Simultaneously, a minor was fatally injured in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Moscow has escalated assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but decisive action - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and applying restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 missiles struck energy facilities, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A series of attacks struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from local officials.

Local officials said the city experienced intense attacks overnight. A young boy died and multiple civilians were injured.

The strikes follow periods of aerial attacks in the area, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to identify.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting gas facilities.

Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were anticipating more assaults.
